Since BARNZ was established as a voice for airlines operating to, from and within New Zealand, we have aimed to be a trusted and thoughtful voice for airlines in policy, pricing and operations matters.
Our submissions are regularly requested by government agencies and the content of these submissions represents an excellent summary of airline views on New Zealand’s aviation system over time. Submissions made by BARNZ have supported lower airport prices, improved airport regulation, and have raised concerns where New Zealand’s policy settings may not support tourism growth.
